Notice-1. Our university doesn’t have an International students admission exam, however the results of national and international exams, the results of International student admission exams held by other universities are accepted, and after the placement process has finished, mark averages of secondary education (diploma mark) are accpeted and evaluated for remaining quotas.
Notice-2. For departments admitting students with special talent examination, as an addition to the conditions stated above, the candidates must pass the special talent examination conducted by our University and in the evaluation of the applications is conducted according to the application, registration and acceptance regulations of the related Faculty, School, Conservatory or Vocational School.
Since students who gain the right for registration to be educated in our University have to obtain “Visa for Education Purposes” students who gain the right to be registered are sent “letters of acceptance” or an equivalent document to the addresses they submitted during application. Besides, candidates who have been admitted to our university can obtain their letters of acceptance prepared for them from the web site of the University (www.beun.edu.tr). The candidates have to apply the Turkish embassy in their country (or the nearest one) with this letter to obtain student visa.
WHY Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi
Bülent Ecevit University (BEU) provides training in Pre-Bachelor’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Post-Master’s Doctoral degrees in Western Black Sea Region.
The foundation purpose of our university was to create a perfectionist center in Zonguldak and Western Black Sea Region. For this reason, as well as being a leader of research, BEU has committed to provide an education in international standards. Our university is among the leading institutions which started education in programs that can meet the needs of the business and industry. Developing innovative teaching methods and programs are among the policies of BEU.
As stated in our university’s Strategic Plan, BEU attaches great importance to internationalization. Therefore, for student and academic staff exchange, joint researches and scientific studies, BEU has established strong links with universities all over the world. International exchange programs and double degree programs are the indicators of the international character of BEU. In almost every program, there are exchange students as well as full-time and part-time foreign faculty members.
Since the 2005-2006 academic year, BEU has been giving a Diploma Supplement to all its graduates. With this application, BEU was awarded the Diploma Supplement Label by the European Commission in 2012, which is known as a measure of quality education in universities.
In our university, extra-curricular activities are strongly supported. Through their compulsory internship our students may have the chance to gain experience about their work lives. In addition to this, our university has a very lively and entertaining campus life.
BEU Prof. Dr. Durmuş Günay Library, with its 18 staff, around 2000 square meter enclosed space and comfortable, modern structure, is composed of three service sections which are the group study hall, silent study hall and magazine department and serves students, academic an administrative staff 7/24.
Zonguldak with its districts of Alaplı, Black Sea Ereğli, Çaycuma, Devrek and Gökçebey, is a city in the Black Sea Region, with a coastline to the sea mentioned. The city in which our university is located is very close to İstanbul and Ankara, 335 km and 276 km far respectively.
Near our university, there is a state dormitory with its capacity to hold 4234 students and it is relatively cheaper when compared to the ones in European Countries. There is a cafeteria and a dining hall inside the dormitory. The students stay in rooms for three people. In each room, there is a shared bathroom, tables, a library, wardrobes and chests of drawers. The cost is approximately €64 per month. In addition, there are private dormitories around the main campus.
The existing programs being carried out in our university are strengthened and new programs are added. For the time being, there are 3 institutes, 11 faculties, 5 schools, 1 conservatory and 7 vocational high school at our university.
