Erasmus+ program is an European Union program that promotes cooperation of higher education institutions with each other and the business world.
Erasmus+ program provides unrequited financial assistance for the higher education institutions to realize and to produce joint projects with each other and to perform short-term exchange of students and staff. Furtherly, Erasmus +program also promotes to enhance relations and cooperation between higher education institutions and business world in order to improve higher education system according to the needs of the business world and increase the employability of university graduates in the business world.
The program aims to improve the quality of higher education in Europe. The programs is trying to achieve this goal by encouraging cooperation between higher education institutions across countries; by ensuring mobility of the students and staff of higher education institutions in Europe; recognition of studies in countries participating in the program and academic degrees received and by contributing to the development of transparency .
On the other hand, graduates will be better equipped and more responsive individuals to the expectations of the business world in Europe offering better quality of higher education. The program also serves to break the stereotypes in the perception of each other among peoples of Europe at higher education institutions with the opportunity offered by mobility.
